AlchemCharts is built for Windows, but Mac users can run it using Wine. This guide walks you through installing Wine, installing AlchemCharts, and logging in with your AlchemCharts account.

How Mac setup works
AlchemCharts runs on Mac through Wine, which allows Windows applications to run on macOS. You will install Wine first, then use it to install and open the Windows version of AlchemCharts.
Download AlchemCharts
Get the current Windows installer from your AlchemCharts account.
Run the installer through Wine
Open the Windows installer with Wine and follow the prompts.
Log in
Use the same email address tied to your AlchemCharts account and subscription.
Windows is still the simplest setup. If you have easy access to a Windows computer, that path is faster. If you use a Mac, continue with the Wine setup below. This does not make AlchemCharts a native Mac app; it runs through Wine.

Install AlchemCharts on Mac using Wine
Follow these steps in order. Commands are shown only where you need to type something in Terminal.

Confirm your Mac details
Open Apple menu > About This Mac and note the model, chip, memory, and macOS version. If you need help, include those details when you contact us.

Install Wine
If you use Homebrew, open Terminal and run the command below.
brew install --cask --no-quarantine wine-stable -

Confirm Wine opens
In Terminal, run the command below before downloading AlchemCharts.
wine --version -

Download AlchemCharts
Sign in to your AlchemCharts account and download the current Windows installer.

Run the installer through Wine
Open the downloaded Windows installer with Wine, then follow the installer prompts.

Open AlchemCharts and log in
Launch AlchemCharts through Wine and log in with your AlchemCharts account email and password.
If something goes wrong
Contact us if Wine does not install, the AlchemCharts installer does not open, login fails, or your screen looks different from this guide.
